Telling Stories through Spaces
We turn to nature and its soothing, meditative qualities to help us decompress from the stresses of modern life and we are naturally drawn to light-filled spaces, be it a fleeting sunrise or the stillness of a golden hour.
The “Mist” flooring collection was developed in collaboration between Shaw Contract with REPUBLIC OF II BY IV — an award-winning, multi-disciplinary studio specializing in international luxury lifestyles and architectural interiors. It is directly inspired by Komorebi, the Japanese word that describes the filtered sunlight shining through the forest leaves.

Influenced by this interplay of nature’s light and stillness, we developed a biophilic spatial answer that included minimalist interiors, matte and natural wood finishes and a serene Japanese aesthetic. The resulting renderings included a hallway, a lobby and a guest room with a distinct look and feel.
